Video - Lilo Has a New Toy

"Whoa! This is so cool!"

[The kid has the screen right up to her eye then pulls it back to a more normal distance.]

"I could film all sorts of cool things with this! Like space mummy vampires from Mars! But first I'm gonna need some actors. Oh! I wonder if this thing can call Jumba! Then he can make me all sorts of new actors!"

[Someone was bouncing like she'd had too much sugar.]

Lilo nodded. "Uh huh. He created lots of evil 'speriments."

“And yet you spoke of him fondly.”

"Oh course! He's ohana."

[3wingedangel]

“You are quite devoted to that concept.” It intrigued him.

[andstitch]

"Of course I am! It's ohana!" She stopped, tilted her head. "what's devoted mean anyway? Like I wanted someone else to win?"

"No," Sephiroth said, further amused. "It means you are loyal to it and care about it very much."

He hadn't seen quite that level of caring back home.

[andstitch]

"Then why does the word have voted in it? Is this one of those things where an adult lies to a kid so the ki doesn't figure out they're secretly a vampire or something?"

"I promise it isn't like that at all," Sephiroth said. What an imaginative child.

[andstitch]

"Are you sure? Cause my big sister Nani's old boss at the luau was a vampire. And he lied about firing her. He said it was cause me an Stitch caused trouble, but Nani told me the truth. She refused to join his vile cult of the undead. I mean... it would have been okay if she had. A vampire sister could have been cool. And then I could do whatever I wanted outside during the day!"

Well. That certainly wasn't what he expected to hear.

"He just let her leave unharmed when she refused?"

[andstitch]

"Uh huh. Nani can be scary when she's angry. And anyway. She woulda told everyone bout him if he attacked her, not just me. This way he blamed it all on me and my dog. Of course the woman my dog attacked was my aunt Pleakly anyway. His head always looks like that. He was more upset about losing the wig, I think."

“… Your aunt Pleakly is a man?”

"Yep!"

“I see. You have an … interesting family.”

He still hopes someone from it will turn up here, for Lilo.

"I have the best Ohana ever!" she said, happily.

“Do you still want to get ice cream?” He feels she should have a treat after the shock of realizing she really isn’t close to home. Although she thankfully seems to have bounced back from that already.

"Is the ocean salty? Is Elvis the best ever?" Meaning yes, of course she wants ice cream.

[3wingedangel]

A smirk. "Very well. Let's continue our search."

If all else failed, they surely served ice cream at the hotel.

[andstitch]

"An we'll look for Portal making 'speriments to get us all home."

[3wingedangel]

Ah, if only it would be that simple.

"Well, we'll do what we can."

[andstitch]

"Uh huh! And what we can is win! But first! Ice cream!"

How confident. That reminds him of Zack.

"Hm. There is an ice cream parlor over there," he sees as they turn a corner. That is a relief to find one so there won't be another disappointment.

"Good!" she raced forward then skidded to a stop and turned back to look at him. "Do big cities only have one ice cream shop?" she asked with that cunningness kids had when they thought they were tricking an adult into something.

"As I said, they usually have more. But since this one is still being built, I don't know how many it might have," he replied, amused.

"Does that mean that we can help them build the rest of them?"
