The video switches on to a perky young man who looks strikingly similar to someone else already on Gaia. He's wearing a newsboy hat, which doesn't fit well amid all the spikes, and he seems younger, but maybe that's the effect of him not having changed his hairstyle.

"Hey! So wow, that was a trip. Kind of fun, though! Better than falling off a cliff.

"So what's up around here?" He looks around hopefully. "Is there ... anybody from home here?" He doesn't know yet about anyone, including his Seph.

"Oh, I should introduce myself! Zack Fair, professional hero! I'll take care of whatever ails ya! Damsels in distress, dragons, Heartless ... whatever's gone wrong, you can count on me!"

He sobers and winces a bit. "Uh, except for the ... uh ... you know, everybody dropping down through the sky from other worlds thing. Not sure how to fix that yet." A confident grin. "But I'll help figure it out!"

Angeal was part of your world too? [He wonders just how many duplicates are running around.]

Sure! Haven't seen him or Genesis in a long time, though.

[He frowns a bit.]

You will. I can always give you a tour of Edge, though it's kinda new to me too. heh

Hm, maybe you'll see them eventually. My Angeal kinda... he may have died. So may have Genesis, the memories are sorta fuzzy.

Oh. Sorry to hear that about Angeal.

[A hesitation, then he finally plunges ahead with:]

What about Seph?

[He purses his lips and looks thoughtful.] It's okay. I had to take him out so his pain would end. He had gone corrupt/rogue.

[Zack frowns now, looking sad.] He went a bit off kilter and went crazy for awhile. He's back to normal finally which explains the situation we're all in currently. Though I can't complain because I'm alive and well you know?

[He stares, stunned by this.]

Oh....

[Man, he can't imagine having to do that to Seph.... He's not sure he could....

He listens to this tale with concern.]

So this is ... your Seph?

[Worry flickers in his eyes.]

[he gets it, it sounds cruel to take out your mentors when they taught you everything you know.]

My Sephiroth is here at the moment, yeah. He's okay.

And Yeah, I think your Seph is here too. He seems more confident than my Sephiroth.

Great! Where do you want to meet?

[It especially shakes him up because he'd struggled with whether he'd have to do that to his Seph after an evil artifact took him over. But in the end, he couldn't do it and he'd fallen from a cliff before anything like that could be done.]

Yeah, I guess that'd hit him pretty hard to be responsible for all this....

[But he perks up.]

My Seph? Really? You're sure? Crazy cool bat-themed coat and three blue wings?!

In the hotel lobby, dude!

[He grins. This is weird but a learning opportunity to see what his other self is like in person. It'll probably be more than weird but it's worth it.]

Yeah, he was trying to get his sanity back. I don't blame him, but I don't think everyone is happy.


[Zack laughs.]

Yeah, that's the guy! He's here. Don't worry, infact, I think Tifa made him and you roommates.

[He's still more intrigued than weirded out. The other him seems similar but different and Zack will probably see him as a separate entity.

He frowns in concern.]

Poor Seph.... You don't think anybody would try to hurt him, do you?

[He beams big at this.]

Really?! Is he at the hotel now?!

[It's been so many years.... Will it feel like years or like no time's passed at all?]

[The other Zack seems more enthused than previously dead Zack is.]

I doubt it. Though who knows around here.

[Zack frowns too.]

Yeah, Ask Tifa about him I guess.

[This Zack has never been dead, although he struggled with amnesia for a while.]

Nobody’s mad enough at him to try it? You’re sure?

[He nods.]

[He starts walking, still holding the device.]

I agree with you. I don't think Seph meant any harm, I think he just wanted to feel human again. I can't blame him, after what we've all been through and the nonsense going through his head? I'd try to gain my sanity back too.

[He gets up from his bed, throws on his pants and laces up his shoes. He walks out the door and heads for the elevator.]

[Zack got down to the lobby, looking around for Tifa while he waited for the other Zack, but there was no Tifa in sight and he was waiting for...himself. Whoa, weird. Almost poetic he guessed.]

I'm down here by the way. I'm the tall guy, like 6'3 I think? I can't remember. I'm just a big guy.

Yeah, exactly! Angeal came over for dinner sometimes, though. He was training to be a hero too, until he disappeared. We still don't know what happened to him or to Genesis. Genesis was a jerk, though.

Angeal was around the same age as you then? [Angeal had been at least twenty years older than Zack as he recalled. Genesis, he had no idea.] My Genesis was a jerk too, obsessed with the play loveless and annoying to boot. No idea how anyone handled that guy before I took him out.

Let's go talk to Tifa? This way we can figure out if your Sephiroth is here.

Nah, he was Seph's age. Genesis too. What's Loveless? Our Genesis was always quoting Shakespeare and Tolkien.

Follow me! [He bounded off into the bar area, looking around for Tifa, who was no where to be found until she popped up from underneath the bar and passed a drink along to a man down at the end of the bar.] Hey Tifa. Is there a Sephiroth staying here with blue wings?

[Tifa looked up, smiling.] Um, yes, blue wings and more confident than our other Sephiroth, he's in room 37? I think. He's rooming with the other Zack as requested by Sephiroth.

Shakespeare's kind of a snore. Can't figure out what the heck he's trying to say most of the time. A lot of other people get it, though. Tolkien, he wrote big adventure stories about friendship! Spent way too much time detailing every little thing they were passing, but you can't beat the power of friendship stuff!

[He follows along happily with the other Zack and perks up tremendously at the news.]

It's really him.... I'll finally see him again.... And he's really okay?

[He feels over the moon now.]
