The video feeds turns on to feature a woman in her early 20’s trying to keep her presence hidden from the Heartless while sending in vines and sundews to trap them so the locals can get out of danger. Judging by the scenery she is in, she is currently at the markets of Edge and it’s swarmed with Heartless everywhere.

Her otherwise black hair has orange, green and blue streaks at the moment and her dress looks even more colorful with red, oranges, greens, blues and purples (spoiler alert: they are made with plant pollen and dye).

“Oh hi. Sorry about this. It appears that I just arrived at the worst timing possible. This is not exactly what I had in mind for a welcoming committee but these dark things need to get out of here. Is there anywhere I can go that is not full of them running amok? I don’t know how long will I keep going in trapping them in vines and sundews from attacking anybody further.”

“It does get a bit difficult to see which areas are not as swarmed by the Heartless compared to others, especially when these guys are pretty fast and seem to be a lot more clever than most people would expect them to,” Isabela still couldn’t get over how fast that one Heartless was in grabbing the leg of one of the rescued people a while back, “I can’t even imagine what would have happened if they try to attack my world and town as well.”

She knew that stuff like this wouldn’t happen often in the encanto, mainly because of the sacrifice her Abuelo made long before her generation was born and it giving birth to Casita and the protective magic that surrounds it and the town that sprung up from it. But even then, the Heartless have proven to be not to be underestimated. So she has to keep an eye out and stay alert at all times if she can help it.

"Yeah, they're a pain. I just hope somebody here knows what they are and what to do with them long-term," Squall grunts. He has no idea his counterpart from another world knows all about them due to them destroying his world. What that other Squall would have given if Radiant Garden had had protection like the Encanto....

“Same here as well,” she chimes in, “There has to be at least one person in this city or world who has some experiences with these things and can get rid of them so everyone won’t have to live fin fear for their lives. I just hate it when folks could get in harm’s way and there is not much to do to stop it.”

"Let's hope so.

"Have you had a lot of experiences with people in trouble?" he wondered. She had been good in this crisis and there might well be more.

“Not many but there was the time when my home was crumbling apart because my family have a lot of internal turmoil within ourselves that caused it to feel like it could fall down at any moment,” Isabela answers, “I was going to try to help in retrieving the candle from my Abuela’s room that represent the presence of the magic that gave me and my family our powers but I wasn’t able to do it when my powers left me temporarily. Luckily my youngest sister came to the rescue and saved our home, our magic and the day without having any magic in her.”

Squall just rather stares blankly during this complicated and confusing explanation.

"... Your house was falling down because your family was in turmoil?" That required a bit more explaining. "Good thing that doesn't happen with this place."

“Yes, I wasn’t kidding about that part. Our Abuela sort of accidentally caused it due to her decades long grief having major effects on us. She lost my Abuelo from a sacrifice he made in a major conflict a long time ago. None of us didn’t took notice of the cracks our home was gaining due to this until my youngest sister came in,” Isabela sighs, it is still difficult for her to discuss about her grandmother’s grief over the loss of her husband as the true cause of it had only become common knowledge to the family and the town in general in recent months.

“Well, at least this city doesn’t have any magical homes that could be at risk of falling apart due to emotional stress from its residents so far. No one shouldn’t lose their homes in the same manner we nearly went through.

Squall is still confused and has to try to read between the lines to figure out all of what was going on. "So the magic that made the house was tied up with your family's feelings or something? Yeah, I hope that kind of building's not common. Can't imagine it'd be a popular material."

“In a way, it does get tied into our emotions to some extent as it can get weakened when we are not stable in an emotional level. There is so much for me to talk about the nature of our magic and our house but now is not the right time to discuss it in depth. We need to get the people to a safer location away from the ongoing chaos.”

[maybe_im_a_lion]

"Yeah. Well, they should be pretty safe here for now. I don't know if any place on the ground is safe." Squall frowned. "And I'm going to try to put out a message on the network to see if anybody knows what these things are. I don't want to send any of these people back down without knowing what we're dealing with."

“No kidding, it is going to be hard to find a safe place to stay in while these creeps are still here,” Isabela nods in agreement, “Can’t risk running into them while we try to locate such a location especially if their numbers are high. Oh good, that would be a good thing to do to send the message and hope that somebody can tell any information about them. That way, people will know about what is going on and what they can do to deal with this current Heartless situation.”

"Yeah, I'm sending the message out right now," Squall said, and quickly tapped it out on his device.

He wasn't happy at the message he soon got back. "... Great. The blue-winged Sephiroth says they're called Heartless and they're created when hearts fall to the darkness. The things want to find other hearts and turn more people into them too."

How were they going to fight something like that?

“WHAT?!? These Heartless creeps want to take people’s hearts for themselves, make them to fall into darkness, and grow their numbers in a rapid rate? That is really messed up,” Isabela flips out upon hearing about the Heartless, “And I thought that pesky weeds are a pain to deal with if left unattended.”

“Yeah, it sounds like these things are the worst possible kinds of pesky weeds,” Squall says in aggravation. “What a pain. He says any weapon should be able to get rid of them. A … Keyblade’s best, but he doesn’t think there’s any here except maybe one.” He squints at the screen. “What’s a Keyblade?!” His weapon was called a gunblade, a combo of a sword and a gun. Did that mean a Keyblade was a key sword?

Of course, that’s exactly right.

“A Keyblade? I honestly never heard of it before either,” Isabela is just as puzzled as Leon as she squints at the screen to look at the image of the Keyblade if it is available.

It’s just too bad that she has never held or fought with a weapon before in her life, she does have her gift with her but she doubts that it alone can be able to destroy the Heartless effectively. And she has certainly never saw anyone in the encanto carried any weapons on their person. Would be very handy if she knows how to use any kind of weapon for times like this right about now.

Sephiroth sends a picture of a smiling boy holding a large key.

"This is a Keyblade," he writes. "But they come in many styles."

"Huh." Squall stares at the picture. The kid doesn't look older than maybe 12 at the most. "Looks weird." The weapon, not the kid. Although he wonders what the kid has to grin about if he has to fight Heartless.

“So this is the fabled Keyblade in question?” Isabela asks inquisitively as she raises an eyebrow, “Never saw anyone fighting with magical swords that look like big keys before until now. Judging from this picture, I assume that this young man in it is one of the people capable of using them as well.”

"Looks like it," Squall says. "Sephiroth says his name is Sora. Too bad he's not here, but we'll deal with it without him and his Keyblade."

They don't have much choice.

“That is a fair assessment. Even if Sora is not here to help us out right now, we should find ways and means to save the whole city from a major disaster. We’ll try to think of something to keep those things away from civilization and ensure everyone’s safety at the same time,” Isabela chimes in, “It looks like we might have to get very creative in how we’ll send them packing.”

Leon nods. "Sephiroth said he cast a protection spell on the hotel, so that's a safehouse people can use now." That helps him relax a bit. Now he won't have to worry that the Garden will get overly crowded. "We'll have to go at the Heartless with everything we've got. Any weapon should work. Maybe even weird stuff. One of the Zacks chimed in with saying he saw somebody bash them with a trigonometry book once."

“That’s good to hear. At least the people staying at the hotel should be safe from those things until every single Heartless is gone,” Isabela nods in relief, “It should give them some protection for the next amount of time.”

“He said that someone managed to smack them with a book?” she must need to learn this trick from that trigonometry book person, attacking the Heartless with a book or two is probably a funny but clever way to shoo them off.

She then comes up with an idea stemmed from her botany interest that she suggests to Leon, “Perhaps some gardening tools could make for usable weapons that anyone can use, even if some aren’t good gardeners in themselves.”

Squall nods. It's definitely a relief to know there's a place like that.

"That's what he said. He sounded like it was a while ago. That person might not be here."

And he perks up at this. "Worth a try."

“Terrific! I think that there might be some gardening shops nearby that we can drop by and grab a couple of rakes, shovels, and other stuff to fight the Heartless with. I have probably seen some right now,” Isabela nods in agreement as she could see a few shops nearby from the airship.

While she isn’t sure if the area is safe from the Heartless, it could be worth searching them in here in order to get the civilians armed themselves against a big threat.

"Great. Let's go."

Soon the airship is over the shops and Squall heads down the rope ladder, wanting to go first in case there's any Heartless that might jump out at them. Not seeing any at the moment, he motions for Isabela to come down.

Isabela joins in as she goes down the rope ladder and looks around for any Heartless running around at the moment. And with none being spotted for now, she goes to the first shop she finds and proceeds to gather as many as gardening tools as she carry and goes out of her way to distribute many to any one who is willing to fight back against the Heartless.

“Hey you go, these things should be more than enough to take out the Heartless as safely as possible,” Isabela tells the people as she gives them a variety of rakes, shovels, plows and other tools for them to choose from and help them to use them as makeshift weapons.
