Video - Lilo Has a New Toy

[The kid has the screen right up to her eye then pulls it back to a more normal distance.]

"I could film all sorts of cool things with this! Like space mummy vampires from Mars! But first I'm gonna need some actors. Oh! I wonder if this thing can call Jumba! Then he can make me all sorts of new actors!"

[Someone was bouncing like she'd had too much sugar.]

"... Cobra Bubbles?" That sounded like a name a child would make up. "Who is that?"

"The social worker," she said, unhelpfully.

"Ah. You need a social worker?" Hopefully not because of the trouble Lilo got into.

[andstitch]

She shrugged. "He comes around sometimes."

[3wingedangel]

"Just to check on you?" Or was it more serious than that?

[andstitch]

"And Sitch. Even though he's not banished anymore."

[3wingedangel]

"The social worker has jurisdiction over Stitch?"

[andstitch]

"Yep. He trapped the councilwoman so she trapped him," she said with a bright smile.

Sephiroth wasn’t sure he understood that comment, nor was he sure he wanted to. But he still ended up asking, “Why was the councilwoman trapped?”

[andstitch]

"Because she couldn't just blow up Earth." See? Makes perfect sense. If you had been there at the time and knew all the context...

[3wingedangel]

Sephiroth gave her a blank look. “Yes, I would hope not.”

[andstitch]

"So he trapped her."

[3wingedangel]

“Of course. How logical.” He might be sarcastic or he might mean it.

[andstitch]

"Exactly!" she said, taking it at face value.

[3wingedangel]

“Why did the councilwoman want to blow up Earth?” he asked.

[andstitch]

"Cause she thought Stitch was a monster who didn't know anything 'bout Ohana."

[3wingedangel]

“… And so she wanted to destroy an entire planet to kill him?” Sephiroth frowned.

[andstitch]

"Well...it's not like anything else is probably going to kill him." She was unbothered by this.

[3wingedangel]

That was … disturbing.

“So she cared nothing for billions of lives just to get at Stitch,” Sephiroth frowned.

[andstitch]

"They didn't know much about Earth," she said, shrugging. "She thought that mosquitoes are an endangered species."

[3wingedangel]

“None of this explains why an Earth social worker would be watching Stitch,” Sephiroth remarked.

[andstitch]

"Well he was visiting us first. Then we got Stitch. Then he came back."

[3wingedangel]

“Ah. And Stitch didn’t endear himself to the man?”

[andstitch]

"Stitch broke his glasses. That's probably why." She nodded sagely.

"Yes, that would be angering," Sephiroth remarked. "Especially if he needed them."
