[The kid has the screen right up to her eye then pulls it back to a more normal distance.]

"I could film all sorts of cool things with this! Like space mummy vampires from Mars! But first I'm gonna need some actors. Oh! I wonder if this thing can call Jumba! Then he can make me all sorts of new actors!"

[Someone was bouncing like she'd had too much sugar.]

She walked with, happily holding his hand.

"To fight the big dummy. And sometimes to get in when the door is locked." As if this was all perfectly normal.

The frightening thing was, he supposed that for her, it was indeed normal.

"And who is the 'big dummy'?"

[andstitch]

"His name is Gantu. He tries to collect the 'Speriments to send them to Hamsterwheel" somewhere in space a small rodent is screaming "to use them for evil."

"... Hamsterwheel?"

Now he was picturing a giant hamster wheel.

"Yeah, he's an evil space gerbil."

[3wingedangel]

Well, that wasn’t what Sephiroth had expected.

“… I see.”

What a strange world. It could be the girl’s vivid imagination, but he’d seen enough strange things to know not to automatically discount this.

“And is Hamsterwheel his home?”

[andstitch]

She was so confused now. "Is the evil gerbil" so much yelling somewhere off in space "who's home?"

Sephiroth had no idea what that meant.

"... Perhaps I misunderstood," he said. "I thought Gantu was an evil gerbil living in a place called Hamsterwheel."

[andstitch]

Lilo laughed. "No, Gantu is a big dummy space alien who works for an evil gerbil named Hamsterwheel. Well... Actually Gantu doesn't work for him any more. At least I don't think so. He became a captain again when my dog decided he didn't want the BRB anymore."

"... Ah. The BRB?"

What a bizarre story.

"Yep, the Big Red Battleship! My dog was made captain for being a hero an all, but in th nd he decided his place was with his Ohana."

"You have a very interesting dog."

He was mostly playing along with that. If Stitch was who he remembered, that wasn't any dog.

"Yes, he's good."

[3wingedangel]

"How long have you known him?"

[andstitch]

"For ever. Three whole years! Well maybe two. I don't know, since we got him at the pound. He's an orphan. Just like us," she said, nodding. "But now he's got an ohana. Us!"

[3wingedangel]

"'Us'"? he repeated. "Who else is normally with you?"

[andstitch]

"Like me and Nani. Though now we have an aunt Pleakley and an Uncle Jumba."

[3wingedangel]

"I see. Nani is your sister?" He wondered if she would end up here as well. Or if she was already here and looking.

[andstitch]

"Uh huh!" she said, nodding.

[3wingedangel]

"Have you been here long?" He wondered how familiar she was with the area.

[andstitch]

"Nope! That's why we have to explore!"

[3wingedangel]

"What kinds of things does your family enjoy?" he asked, wondering where they should look in case Stitch or Nani or the others might be there.

[andstitch]

"Ice cream. Ice cream is good," she said, nodding.

[3wingedangel]

"You think they would go to an ice cream parlor?" He was amused, and not at all sure she wasn't just saying that because she wanted ice cream.

Bingo. "We should check. Just to be sure. Then the candy store."
