Video - Lilo Has a New Toy

"Whoa! This is so cool!"

[The kid has the screen right up to her eye then pulls it back to a more normal distance.]

"I could film all sorts of cool things with this! Like space mummy vampires from Mars! But first I'm gonna need some actors. Oh! I wonder if this thing can call Jumba! Then he can make me all sorts of new actors!"

[Someone was bouncing like she'd had too much sugar.]

Amused, Sephiroth said, “At least we could start on it.”

Of course they couldn’t eat them all in one sitting, even if Lilo thought she could.

"And continue it, and finish it, and then start all over again!"

"Let's focus on these first," Sephiroth says, and leads her to a booth by a window to sit and eat.

[andstitch]

"Okay! Let's devour the ice cream!"

Sephiroth eats at a fairly peaceful pace, just relaxing and letting his thoughts wander a bit.

She ate at the pace of a child who is immune to brain freeze actually enjoys brain freeze.

"Owwwww," she held her head. "Brain freeze!"

She flopped dramatically across the table. "Becoming.... ice.... zombie...." she groaned.

That definitely startled Sephiroth back to the present. He watched, deadpanning as he ate.

"... What does that feel like?" he wondered. He honestly never experienced brain freeze.

[andstitch]

She blinked and turned her head to look up at him. "Becoming an ice zombie?"

[3wingedangel]

"Brain freeze," he said. "Zack spoke of it, but I've never had such a sensation."

[andstitch]

"We need more ice cream! Lots! And you need to eat it quickly. We can race!"

[3wingedangel]

Well, he should have expected an answer like that. "Wouldn't you rather just enjoy the ice cream? I prefer savoring it over experiencing this ... brain freeze."

Probably why he never has.

[andstitch]

"I enjoy it and get the brain freeze!"

[3wingedangel]

"You take enjoyment in unusual things."

[andstitch]

"If you never had it, how can you know you wont enjoy it?" Which was what Nani always asked her about the weird new recipes she tried sometimes. So either he'd agree and try it... or she'd learn a new way to say no to Nani! Win win!

"Heh. Technically I can't, although the way Zack described it never made it sound particularly fun."

[andstitch]

"But the way I do, it does sound fun. Cause it is! So you should try it!"

[3wingedangel]

"Hm. We seem to have different definitions of fun."

[andstitch]

"Have you ever actually become an ice mummy vampire?"

[3wingedangel]

"No. I can't say the idea especially appeals to me."

[andstitch]

"Awwww... why not?"

[3wingedangel]

"I could turn the question around. Why do you find the idea fun?"

[andstitch]

Oh that was easy!

"Cause they're cool!" Get the pun? She was beaming. "And no one ever tells vampires when it is bed time or when they've had too much ice cream! And then I could turn into an ice bat and bite people and then they become my mummy minions and have to do whatever I tell them to do! Like play dolls with me!"

... Well, she was certainly one of the most ... unusual people he had ever met.

"... You wouldn't find it meaningless for them to play only because they were forced rather than because they wanted to?"

"Um...." she thought about it. "But... it's better than not playing at all, right?"

"For me, I didn't care to play with the other children if they didn't really care about me," he said.
